Service Technician | Area C | 2&1 | FIFO

About the Role

We are currently looking for Service Technician’s to join our Maintenance team working on a 2&1 roster (1 week days, 1 week nights, 1 week RnR) based in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

Main job responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • In pit servicing and fuelling of equipment;
  • Carry out routine lubricant top ups on surface mobile equipment (drills, excavators, ancillary and lighting plants);
  • Identifying and rectifying faults during inspections;
  • Scoping and creating 1SAP notifications for immediate and preventative work on fleet and equipment;
  • Ensure works are completed on time and up to standard.

About You

  • Current HR Driver’s License;
  • Current High Risk Licenses (Forklift, EWP, Working at Heights) desirable;
  • Previous experience working on surface mobile equipment (Leibgerr 996B, R9400, Epiroc & Pit Viper drills) essential;
  • Experience operationg a haul truck on a mine site; desirable
  • Previous experience working as a TA/ service person in a mining environment; essential
  • Exposure to hazard identification and a working knowledge of safety processes;
  • Sound communication skills, computer literacy, problem solving ability and predominantly a drive to do the job safely are the key attributes we will be seeking in our preferred candidates.

Our Area C mine is located approximately 120kms North West of Newman, West Australia.  The outstanding facilities at the FIFO village include; a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, netted cricket pitch, tennis and basketball court, beach volleyball court and recreation room including a pool table, darts, table tennis, TV and DVD player.  All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
